COVID-19 Updates

Update March 30, 2020

Gallery 44 will remain closed until non-essential businesses reopen. Select exhbitions, writing and workshops will be available online.

 

Following provincial guidelines for non-essential businesses, G44 will remain fully closed until this order changes. The current order is active through April 7 but may be extended. We are working on developing an action plan for reopening under an number of different scenarios and are continuing with select progamming online including: exhibitions content, writing programs, artist talks, workshops and membership events. 

All staff will be available via email to answer any questions pertaining to programming, education, and facilities during our regularly scheduled office hours, Tuesday to Friday, 11 to 5 PM. To contact a staff member click here>>>

 

Update March 17, 2020

Gallery 44 Closed until March 31.

 

Following the recommendations of Ontario Public Health officials, Gallery 44 will temporarily close as of March 17 at 5:00PM until March 31st. This includes the offices, production facilities and galleries, and the closure applies to Gallery 44 members and the public.

 

In the interest of protecting our extended communities, we will cancel workshops taking place in March and postpone our upcoming exhibition Silvia Kolbowski: A Few Howls Again co-presented with Images Festival and curated by Jared Quinton, Alexandra Symons Sutcliffe, and Magdalyn Asimakis. As well as our member exhibitions, City in Motion by Huw Morgan in the Members Gallery and Light Gestures a group exhibition featuring the work of Daniel He, Richelle Forsey and Sonya Filman in the Production Gallery.
