Elise Rasmussen

Elise Rasmussen is a research based artist and educator based in New York. She received her BFA from Ryerson University and her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work has been exhibited internationally including the Brooklyn Museum (NY), the Berman Museum of Art (Philadelphia), Night Gallery (Los Angeles), Standpoint Gallery (London), TRUCK Contemporary Art in Calgary, and is represented by Erin Stump Projects in Toronto. Elise has been an artist in residence at a number of institutions including the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin, the Nirox Foundation in South Africa, Pioneer Works and LMCC in NY, and the International Summer Academy in Salzburg. She has received grants and awards from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Banff Centre, the Jerome Foundation among others and was a juror for the Canada Council for the Arts International Residencies program in 2015.
