In this conversational workshop, we will discuss all stages of preparing an artist’s grant: assessing your eligibility, describing your project, developing your budget, selecting your support material, and more. Experienced editor and writer Daniella Sanader will give participants an overview of grants offered at the municipal, provincial, and federal arts councils, with a focus on grants available for photo-based practices. She will provide practical suggestions for communicating your project as clearly as possible, and offer some tips for navigating the tricky admin of grant preparation.
Participants should come prepared to talk about a project (at any stage of development) that they are interested in funding through an arts grant.
